Note: I originally transcribed this memorial around 1991: at that time there was no 1939-1945 entry on the plaque. A revisit in Dec 1999 revealed that this had been added sometime in the interval.
There is also a shield-shaped white stone plaque in the church which reads as follows:

In proud and loving memory of David James Thomas Signaller, Royal Warwickshire regt. Eldest son of James and Martha Thomas 'of Evelench in this parish' who died of wounds received in Action in the 'Great War' April 15th 1918. Aged 20 years Buried at Iseghem in Belgium 'Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends' |
Note: David James Thomas was an old boy of Worcester Gramamr School, and his name appears on the school memorial.
