"Thus his father wept for him" Sacred to John Arthur Freeman: Captain in the 2nd Dragoons Scots Greys and only son of John Freeman Esquire of Gaimes and his wife Constantia He landed with his regiment in the Crimea and having joined the Allied armies on their march to Balaklava fell a victim to the cholera September 29th 1854 in the 27th year of his age. His mortal remains are deposited on the seaside near to Balaklava and his sorrowing parents have dedicated this window: To the memory of him they loved so well |
